In Ephesians 4:12-13 the Apostle Paul tells us that all ministries in the Church have a four-fold objective:

1. To EQUIP
2. To EDIFY
3. To UNIFY
4. To PERFECT

The various ministries here at Calvary Chapel of the Cumberland Valley, are aimed at achieving these goals. All of our ministries are designed:

1. To EQUIP you for the relationship and service that God has for you as His disciple.
2. To EDIFY you (or build you up spiritually) so that you can grow in your relationship with Jesus and engage in His service that He has for you to do.
3. To UNIFY you with other believers so that we can grow and serve God together.
4. To PERFECT your faith so that you can be the spiritually mature man or woman who is becoming more like Christ.

We realize that this four-fold objective is only possible through Jesus. Therefore, we turn to His Word and we rely upon His Spirit as we minister for Him. The ministries in this fellowship are Jesus’ ministries (not ours) and we yield them completely to Him.

We believe that evangelism is an important part of ministry. We pray that we can use the ministries of this fellowship to make us effective evangelists for Him. Healthy sheep reproduce, and as you are equipped, edified, unified, and perfected you will be used of Christ to add to His flock.
